Have you noticed this colorful little surprise in the LA skyline? I remember driving home from school on the 110, thinking that one day I’d get to work on something of this scale…
Fast forward three years, and I was fortunate enough to lead the seasonal façade lighting design for the Wilshire Grand Center. Standing 1,100 feet tall in downtown LA’s financial district, it’s the tallest building west of Chicago, completed in 2017.
Through this program, we dress the tower in shifting color gradients to celebrate national holidays, support local causes, and mark moments of citywide significance. We often say it’s a beacon over LA, and by continuing this tradition, I hope to breathe a sense of sentiment and collective consciousness into the LA skyline. ♡
